Sorry that I’m late, but I hope you all had a happy Memorial Day!
We decorated the house so much! Mom got out some patriotic beads strung together, and I put them in my hair, secured by an American flag without a handle clipped to my hair that was so tight it didn’t let the beads fall out.
Mom also got out some red, white, and blue crepe paper, and we twisted it around the stair rail, made one line of each hanging over the stair rail, and stuck in American flags.
We also went to a parade, where people on floats sprayed water at us, and I held out a hat to catch candy. People on floats kept trying to get candy in it. It was so fun! I’m actually chewing a piece of gum that we got at the parade while I’m writing this post.Dad took us kids, while Mom stayed home with Moriah. Moriah wasn’t left out, though, because people were walking by the side of the road during the parade giving out little stuffed animals. Was it a coincidence they gave us a pink octopus?
Hurrah for the USA! Our veterans served to make our country free. Now that it’s free, we honor them by giving them a day. It’s called Memorial Day! Hip Hip Hooray! Hip Hip Hooray! Yay! Hooray for the USA! Hooray for the USA! Hooray for the USA! Hooray for the USA! Hooray for the USA! (And keep repeating all of the song till your voice gets hoarse.)
