What Will Your Walls Say? {A Giveaway}

Last time, I shared with you the sweet new letters that are up on Moriah’s wall, and since then, I have been eager to show you the ones that made Hannah and Elisabeth squeal with delight.

Shortly after we bought this house, I had applied the flowery wallpaper border to the upper 3/4 of the walls of the girls’ room, and I love that I was able to select a fun font for their names in a color to match.  Hannah and Elisabeth just love having their names on the wall in bright pink curlicue letters, and it cost just $10 each in the size I chose.  Perfect!

This was the first time I had ever used vinyl lettering.  I have admired Tonya’s designs at Fruitful Vine Creations for a while now, but I’ll admit that I wondered if the application would be a bit complicated.  It wasn’t at all—and remember, I am a busy, middle-aged, adrenal-fatigued mom and was just told last week that I REALLY need to get eyeglasses (they’re on order), so I am all about convenient and UNcomplicated these days.  If I say the application is easy, you know it surely must be.

Tonya’s creations come with an easy-to-understand page with tips and diagrams, as well as a plastic applicator tool (think credit card) used to burnish the letters.

Seriously, it took just a couple of minutes to apply each design, and I couldn’t be more pleased with them.  The very thin, matte vinyl looks as though it has been hand-painted on our walls, and I was so thrilled with all our designs that I asked Tonya if she would sponsor a giveaway for my readers, and she graciously agreed.

Tonya makes more than just names, though.  She can help you select exactly what you’d like your walls to say.  Have a favorite verse?  Saying?  Need a reminder for your kids?

Or yourself?

If it’s on your heart, she can design it for your walls . . . or your stairs . . . or for wherever else you’d like to put it.

There are many fonts and colors to choose from, and I can tell you from experience that Tonya is wonderful about answering any questions you may have.

Each week, she offers a “fruitful deal,” which is available at a significant savings (up to 60% off!) while supplies last.  Check out this week’s lovely design:

Moriah’s Room

Moriah’s bedroom is finally done.  As in decorated.  As in no more bare, boring walls.  I put the fabulous finishing touch on it yesterday, and I’ll tell you about that in a minute.  (I am saving the best for last, and it makes me giddy just thinking about it!)

I have long been partial to the pretty pastels of Classic Pooh decor—ever since I decorated for my first baby over 15 years ago.  We have since moved to a new town and left that room behind, but I can still picture it well and smile at the happy memories made while Pooh and friends looked on.

When we decided to transition Moriah into her own bedroom, the sentimental part of me wanted to replicate all that Pooh coziness.  Her room is so sweet and precious now, which is fitting for our sweet and precious girl.

First, I got some Classic Pooh wallpaper border pasted up.  Then, after ordering yards and yards of a quilter’s leftover Classic Pooh fabric on ebay, I got busy sewing curtain panels.  Happily, I had just enough fabric left over to cover a pillow too.

About the same time, I got a fabulous deal on ebay and purchased a like-new Classic Pooh crib bumper.

I unpacked several Classic Pooh pictures that had previously hung at the old house and found just the right spots for them on their new walls.

Having a large area of still-blank wall above the crib area, I knew exactly how I wanted to complete Moriah’s room—to spell her name with letters that coordinated with all the hues of Classic Pooh.

Sweet, isn’t it?  It looks like I painted it on, but trust me, it was much easier than that would have been.  I had contacted my friend Tonya at Fruitful Vine Creations to ask for her help, and I am very happy I did!  She created these beautiful letters for me out of very thin, matte vinyl and helped me choose just the right font in the size and colors I wanted.

I absolutely love love love how it turned out, and it took just a few minutes—start to finish.

Have you ever considered decorating with vinyl lettering?  If not, I’d like you to start, because next time I’ll show you what else Tonya made for our walls, and we’ll even have a giveaway!  That’s right!  Stay tuned because one of you will be blessed with a beautiful vinyl creation for your home!
