Adorable at 7 Weeks

Yesterday morning, which was a typical Sunday morning, there was a lot of hustle and bustle around here with everyone getting ready for church.  I got Moriah fed and dressed and laid her in the pack ‘n play so I could go get myself ready.

When I came back downstairs, I found her like this.  It seemed like a funny way to sack out, but whatever works, I guess.

Precious and adorable!

She is doing super right now.  She’s on track developmentally, and our Early Intervention specialist recommended having full therapy (physical, occupation and speech) evaluations done this month just to get a baseline.

Moriah surprised us over the weekend too—twice actually.  She rolled over!  We’ve been giving her lots of “tummy time” to strengthen her muscles, and how she’s been using them!

At dinnertime on Saturday, Nathan noticed that Moriah had rolled over.  Of course, I went over to check, knowing I had laid her down on her tummy.  Sure enough, there she was on her back.  The rest of the family then crowded around to see and began cheering wildly for her.  It was a heartwarming moment, no doubt one of many to come, as “Team Moriah” roots for her progress and success.

  1. I’m cheering for her, also! I’ve been praying for you and Moriah and have been so glad to hear her great progress reports.

  2. She is SO beautiful! I’ve thought so since the first photo I saw of her. She just looks so angelic. And it’s hard to believe she has ANY muscular issues at all with rolling over at 7 weeks! May she continue to surprise you in all the wonderful ways yet to come! Enjoy hugging and squeezing and munching on her: ) I can’t be the only one that eats my children.

  3. Oh my – looking at those pictures reminds me of my Abbie-girl when she was a baby. She was so chubby like that and I just wanted to hold and cuddle her all the time.

    I love her little dress!
