Homemade Heat Packs Tutorial . . . a Rerun

I can’t resist this rerun post because these heat packs are so very useful!

  • If you’re want to warm up your toes . . .
  • If you have any sore, achy joints or muscles . . .
  • If you have a child with an earache . . .
  • If you need to warm up your car seat before heading out on a nippy day . . .

it’s Homemade Heat Packs to the rescue!

One is on my lap right this minute since it’s chilly by my office window.  We use ours every single day this time of year.

They’re easy and inexpensive to make and a great sewing project for daughters.

The instructions are all right here.

  1. I haven’t made any this size yet, but this fall I came across instructions for small heart-shaped packs. They were made from a fleecy fabric. You place them in the microwave for about 30 seconds; then place in your coat pocket to keep your hands warm when going out into the winter weather. We gave some of those away as gifts. Fun!
